Lake Waccamaw - the best kept secret in North Carolina. This beautiful lake, nestled in a sleepy little village, is a lure to vacationers who like the serenity of peace and quiet in old-fashioned surroundings.  Historically, this was a lodge where hunters and fishermen came yearly to enjoy the out-of-doors.  Today, it is an artist's delight with a second-story sun porch (decorated like an old fashioned soda parlor) overlooking the lake.  The breath-taking sunsets glow on the horizon and set the lake afire with color.

 

Inside the warmth of antiques and Southern hospitality await your pleasure as you read or play the piano in the music room, lounge in the great room or rock on the sreened-in porch.  Guests are welcome to sit on the dock and feed the ducks, wet a hook, soak up the sun, or just enjoy the spectacular view of the lake surrounded by woods.
